In 2022, generative AI was beginning to enter mainstream consciousness.

 

While the world was still learning how to wield this new technology, most didn’t realise how easily our inherent biases could be encoded into it — and we noticed that AI-generated stories were perpetuating gender stereotypes.

So we set out to shed light on this, and invited KPMG Singapore staff from various backgrounds to engage with these problematic AI-generated stories. In a format inspired by forum theatre, we gave them free rein to rewrite the narratives, shift perspectives, and reclaim the storytelling power.
